Annik Magerholm Fet is a Professor with the section for Safety, Health and Environment at NTNU, where she is an expert in environment management and life-cycle analysis. She has a Master of Science (cand.real.) in Physics and a doctorate in Systems Engineering, as well as a great deal of experience working at the intersection between education, research and industry related projects, especially with environment related issues.

Fet has authored five Physics text books for use in technical education, and published a great number of research reports and papers concerning industry directed projects and research results. She sits on the editorial committee of several internationally recognized periodicals and has been a member of several Evaluation and Selection Committees for Norwegian and international Research appointments.

Annik Magerholm Fet has undertaken guest research and teaching positions abroad, among them: University of California Santa Barbara, US, Lloyds Register of Shipping, UK, Delft University, the Netherlands, MIT in the USA, and Wuppertal Institute in Germany. She is a member of several international research networks and participates actively in international research projects.

Of further interest, Fet has industry related experience from the Oil and Gas sector, having worked as a geo-physicist in Statoil's exploration unit. Much of her research and development work has been directed towards the maritime sector. She is a Fellow at the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, IMAResT.
